with if made in writing to the Chairperson within one week of the incident.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED TO CONCEDE A GAME

1 Advise the team you are playing
2 Advise the Umpiring secretary
3 Advise Fixtures Secretary

Please ensure you have confirmation in writing (email or text) from the team captain concerned. Conceding a game results in the conceding team losing one point and the opposition being awarded five points for the win.
In the event that a team concedes a match, they are responsible for organising TWO UMPIRES and TWO SCORERS for BOTH their own umpiring commitment and that of their opposition*. An additional fee of £10 is payable to each umpire to cover their travel costs.

*You are advised to try your opposition umpire first before contacting every other umpire in the directory.

WHAT TO DO IN THE CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER

The Committee will endeavour to have made a decision by 8.30am. Team captains should contact Becca Stannard on 07734 128379, at this time NO EARLIER. If there is no answer, captains should assume that all matches are going ahead as planned.

Teams will be advised at a later date of when fixtures will be replayed.

MATCH START TIMES
Matches will commence at 9.30 am and 11.00 am. Where possible they will be started centrally but will then continue on the umpires’ timing (they will not be stopped centrally in case of stoppages).

JEWELLERY
All jewellery should be removed except wedding rings which may be taped. Please refer to England Netball Rules.

UMPIRING

USE OF TRAINEE UMPIRES
Trainee umpires may be used for 2nd Division matches only – by prior arrangement from the Umpiring Secretary.

PAYMENT OF UMPIRES
Umpires should be paid £10 per match and this should be given prior to the start of the game. (higher fees should not be levied for any game)

SCORERS
Scorers’ names to be detailed on score cards please.

FIRST NAMED TEAM IS THE HOME TEAM

ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE A COMPLETE FIRST AID KIT COURTSIDE

ACCIDENTS
If an accident occurs at a Netball match where a player, coach, spectator or staff member is injured, the accident reporting procedure should be followed as detailed below: This procedure should be followed for ALL injuries and accidents, regardless of whether or not medical treatment is given.

A team representative should complete an Accident Report Form. These are available below and on the noticeboard in the Pavilion. Please ensure you include as much information as possible. This may include a diagram or further explanation which may be completed on a separate piece of paper or on the back of the form. Additional pages should be stapled or clipped securely to the original form.

The names, addresses and contact details of any witness present should be recorded.

Please pass the form to Tarn Clarke, as the Duty of Care Officer, or, in her absence Becca Stannard. In the event that both these persons are absent, please seek the advice of a Committee member.

The form will then be copied by Tarn/Becca and a copy sent to the Competition and Events Department at England Netball within 3 (three) days of the incident taking place. One copy will be kept by Tarn/Becca, and another copy will be provided to the injured party.

If you are an injured party
In order to make a cliam you must complete the Personal Accident Claim Form below. Also below is the Insurance Certificate.
