Lipscomb v Canterbury – 35 – 50

Winners of last season had another good start to the year with a win over Lipscomb. From the start Canterbury went ahead and in the second quarter continued their lead further with an impressive 17 goals.

Star Player and Best Attack GS Michelle Noden and GA Dawn Cox worked well together in the circle ensuring a high scoring level while at the other end of the court Kim Humphreys at WD received Best Defence for her strong defence.

Meanwhile, Lipscomb worked hard, inparticular their defence who intercepted well and made the most of strong cross court balls. GA Shelley Skinner got Star Player for her excellent shooting. However, it wasn’t quite enough to gain on Canterbury who finally defeated them 50-35
