Margaret has been awarded the Joyce Crust Award by Kent Netball for her services to netball in Kent.

England Netball are receiving nominations for the annual Goalden Globe awards that recognise the contribution of so many fabulous people to the sport of Netball

Thanet Netball League Special Offer
Thanet District Netball League are looking for new players and teams to enter their summer 2013 season. They we are offering the first league fees FREE for all new teams that do so.

Please register before the 15th of March if you are entering a team (the form is online). For individual players, to register your interest please post a comment on the forum where new and existing teams can contact you.

Umpires required this March
The committee has received requests for umpires to support school tournaments across the county. You will be paid for your time so check out the Umpiring & Scoring page and then click on Umpiring opportunities.
Quarter Finals line up announced
The CDNL Cup and Plate Quarter final line up has been announced following the committee meeting on Tuesday.
Unfortunately the poor weather has meant that the early rounds of the competition were cut short but those teams who are through to the quarter finals will certainly put on a good show so make sure you are there on Sunday 5th May.

England make it 3-0
The England team finished off the historic series with another victory on Saturday evening at the NIA in Birmingham.
Thousands of fans saw the team comeback to beat the Aussie visitors 58-51 on Australia Day.
Player of the match, Sacha Korbin was instrumental with her feeds into the circle as WA, whilst Player of the series Eboni Beckford-Chambers was oustanding again in defence

History Girls: England take the series
England netball took a 2-0 lead against Australia at Wembley on Wednesday night.
Having won the first match in Bath 58-53, the England team went on to secure the series with a 51-49 victory over the Australian Diamonds.

Indoor Netball Masters Trials
The Indoor Netball Association (INA) England are delighted to announce the upcoming open trials for the Indoor Netball Masters Tournament to be held in South Africa in September 2013.

Back to Netball Hits the Jackpot
Thanks to all that voted, the hugely successful National Back to Netball initiative won the National Lottery Sports Project of the year award for 2012.
You may have seen the award presented on the national lottery programme on Saturday 8th December.
Great news that our sports is receiving such recognition, about time too we say!
Canterbury show their Versatilty
As the clock counts down to the start of the league season the Sheila Riches Versatility Tournament enjoyed some late September sunshine.
Eight teams competed across the day with some exciting and unpredictable matches. First half leads were reversed whilst others were buit upon as rotations moved defenders into attack and natural centres into shooters.
The eventual winners were Canterbury closely followed by CFA Diamonds and joint 3rd was shared between the two Pilgrims teams.
Thanks to all those that made it possible, especially Debbie Cook for organising the thoroughly enjoyable tournament.

More level 1 coaches
Following our last congratulations to those who passed their level 1 coaches course, we have received news that Kerrie Fisher of Waterjets also passed her level 1 a few weeks ago

Michelle Parry (DFA), Becca Newbury (Pilgrims), Matt Davis (Academy) and Debbie Cook (DFA) all passed their level one coaching award on Sunday 13th Feb - well done. They now join a fairly impressive list of coaches in the League; Liliane Widdows (Lipscombe), Chris George (Academy), Chrissa Drew (Canterbury),Kerri Bradley and Katie Dray (Pilgrims) all level 2 coaches; and Sarah Watson and Emma Sherwood - both GW Wilson's level 1 coaches. Any more out there???
